In the Email service for unauthenticated users section of the Feedback administration interface, it is possible to select whether:

  • The Fluid Topics server sends feedback emails to unauthenticated users.

    This is only available with SMTP relay. For more information on how to configure an SMTP relay, see Email sending method.

  • Fluid Topics asks the user to open their email client and send their feedback as an email.

    This is the default method.

Selecting Feedback sent by the user's email application in the Email service section produces the following results:

  • When a user attempts to submit feedback, Fluid Topics does not open the Feedback drawer. Instead, the application asks the user to open their email client and send their feedback as an email.

  • The "From" address is that of the user sending the email (for example, jane.doe@company.com).

  • There is no longer a "Reply-To" address.
