In the context of configuring a monolingual taxonomy, the steps to prepare a file are as follows:

  1. In row 1 column A, define the language of the content to which the vocabulary will apply by entering a value for the afs:lang metadata. The value must be composed of an ISO 639-1 language designator in lowercase and an ISO 3166-1 region designator in uppercase, separated by a hyphen.

  2. In row 2 column A, enter a generic term.

  3. Enter synonyms for the generic term in the same row, with one synonym per column.

  4. In row 3, enter a specific term related to the generic term.

  5. Enter synonyms for the specific term in the same row, with one synonym per column.

  6. Continue developing the taxonomy with generic and specific terms and their synonyms as in the following example:
