Creating a Facebook authentication realm consists in defining Facebook as the OAuth 2.0 provider, with Fluid Topics as the Service provider (SP).

In this configuration, Fluid Topics implements the OAuth protocol to authenticate the users of a Facebook realm as follows:

  • Fluid Topics asks Facebook for authorization to retrieve user's identity.
  • Fluid Topics calls an API to retrieve the user's identity.

Users with the ADMIN role can add and configure a Facebook realm as follows:

  1. Access the Realms tab of the Authentication administration interface.
  2. Select Facebook from the Available types menu to open the New realm drawer.
