By default, the SSO login and logout pages open in a new window. Selecting the check box in the SSO login and logout page section of the Authentication administration interface forces the SSO login and logout page to open in the current window.

- When selecting Open SSO login and logout page in the current window checkbox, Fluid Topics displays the SSO logout page in the tab that initiated the logout. After SSO logout, the user is redirected to the address set in the the Logout redirect URL section.

- When Open SSO login and logout page in the current window is not selected, Fluid Topics displays the SSO logout page in a new tab that closes automatically after logout.

- Please note that Fluid Topics may redirect users immediately to the SSO login page if authentication is mandatory or if the Hide the credential form if an SSO real is configured option is active.

Some SSO implementations have technical constraints that prevent the authentication window from working as expected. Indeed, the authentication window must be able to communicate with its "opener window." Some SSO implementations break (intentionally or not) the reference to this opener window. In this case, the authentication window is not able to communicate with its opener. The authentication window is not closed and displays Fluid Topics with the user recognized as authenticated.
