Since the release of Fluid Topics v3.5, the Search page includes a sidebar. The first tab in the sidebar, Filters, allows the user to refine a search. The second tab, My Searches, was introduced in Fluid Topics v3.7.25 as a replacement for Alerts and Scopes.

Selecting the << button collapses the sidebar completely. The search results panel is much wider:
To expand the sidebar, select the >> button.
