Entering a search query (or submitting an empty search) on the portal's Homepage brings the user to the Search page, where they can apply additional filters, sort results, and preview content. The Search page contains two sections: the search results pane and the sidebar.
Fluid Topics v3.7.25 introduces My searches, which is designed as a replacement for Scopes and Alerts.
The Search page appears as follows:
Where:
- A search box allowing the user to enter one or more search terms. An autocomplete drop-down list opens to suggest content as the user types.
- The number of results matching the current search criteria (search terms and/or facets).
- The Sort by drop-down list allows the user to sort by relevance or last update.
- The Copy link button copies the URL of the list of search results. One user can send the URL to another user. The other user will be able to access some of all of the content, depending on their rights.
- The Save button is only available if the My searches feature is enabled. When selected, a dialog opens allowing the user to save the search for future consultation.
- The Choose among x variants button allows the user to navigate between different versions of a document or topic. A drawer opens with radio buttons to filter by metadata. Metadata shared by all the results are listed in the bottom left corner of the drawer:
- Tags indicating the metadata keys defined for the content. A circle of dashes around a metadata key means that it has several values for the document or topic.
- The title of the content with an icon indicating whether it is a
Book or an 
Article. Under article titles, a summary is available. - A drop-down list available when only one metadata key has multiple values for the content.
- Under topic titles, the path of the topic is indicated.
- The Preview button allows the user to get a quick glance of a topic or an article.
Selecting content in the Search page brings the user to the Reader page, where they can browse the content in context.
