The Search in all documents feature lets users search for content directly in the Reader page.

In desktop mode, a search box to search in all documents is available in the portal's header when the Reader page is open, as follows:

Search in all documents

Submitting a query in this search box displays the Search page with a list of matching documents.

  • The Search in all documents mode is only available if an administrator has activated it for the portal.
  • Users accessing the portal via a mobile device can access the Search in all documents feature by selecting the Search button in the portal's header.

After placing the cursor in the search box to search in all documents, a Filters menu appears in the search bar. Opening this menu shows the Filters window, as follows:

Selecting the Presets menu at the top of the Filter window may display one or all of the following options:

  • The Last search option applies the same filters as the previous search query.

  • The My filters option applies the filters set in the Search preferences tab of the My Account menu.

  • The Contextual search option applies the filters an administrator has configured for this option. See contextual search for a description of the effect this option has on the search query

Depending on the portal's configuration, some Presets menu options may be unavailable.
