To increase the flexibility of how content is rendered in a Fluid Topics portal, the styles applied to the structured content displayed in the Reader page can now vary depending on the content itself (metadata dependent styling).

The new Content Styles page in the portal administration menu lets fine-tune the Reader page for structured documents and fully leverage metadata:

Custom CSS classes

  1. Define custom CSS classes, based on the value of select metadata.
  2. Style the topics with these new CSS classes, therefore varying the look and feel based on content metadata.
  3. Upload images and use custom CSS classes to display them as background images based on metadata value (e.g. create watermark for confidential content, etc.).
  4. Customize titles and take advantage of the addition of a title section and h1-h6 title tags.
