After years of work, the Analytics module is promoted to stable with 15 screens and corresponding web services to understand what users have searched for, what they have read, and more.

The homepage of the Analytics module now gives you a synthesized view of document and topic views, the most popular documents, and session evolution.

The new Analytics dashboard

On a technical level, this dashboard leverages our new web-component-based approach (each block of the page is a distinct element), similarly to what we use for the Page Designer.

Two new pages are available in the Analytics dashboard. The first, named Users, lets you follow the evolution of users who have signed up / signed in. The number of active and total users is computed by realms, with the possibility to switch from a line graph to a stacked graph.

The new Users page

The second new page, named Topic views, display the most popular topics. This view is complementary to the topics heatmap. It will help you determine which topics to focus on and better understand what your users are reading.

The new Topic views page

The new analytics screens have a corresponding web service to access underlying data and integrate it into your own analytics tools. A new public web service also lets you retrieve user events over a certain period of time and better understand the user’s searches, reading habits, and more.
