Authorized administrators can attach a resource asynchronously by uploading a control file after publishing content to a Fluid Topics portal.
Asynchronous map attachments are supported only for DITA and FTML content.
The procedure depends on the content type.
DITA documents
- Upload a DITA map attachment with a control file
- Update a DITA map attachment with a control file
- Remove a map attachment from a DITA map with a control file
FTML documents
- Upload an Ftmap attachment with a control file
- Update an Ftmap attachment with a control file
- Replace an Ftmap attachment with a control file
- Remove a map attachment from an ftmap with a control file
Map attachments added with a control file have no effect on those added manually in the interface except when a originId or khubId is present in the control file.
It is possible to validate the control file against the Fluid Topics XML Schema Definition (XSD) file. This file is available for download in the Attachments tab of the Reader page sidebar.
