Fluid Topics displays the following types of dates to provide information about content and allow users to filter search results.
-
Last publication date (
ft:lastPublication
): the date on which the content was last uploaded to Fluid Topics. It is available at the document level only. -
Last edition date (
ft:lastEdition
): the date on which a user last modified the content. It is available both at the document level and the topic level.
Since topics inherit all metadata that is set at the document level, it may be necessary to set the ft:lastEdition
metadata at the topic level but not at the document level. An example is available in the Manage Last Edition Date for DITA Topic Alerts article.
For content that has never been modified, the ft:lastEdition
is the same as the ft:lastPublication
.
