To link a topic in the same document or to link another publication (also known as "crossbook link"), see Paligo's Cross-References and Links.
Cross-reference links in Paligo can have two different identifiers:
data-origin-id
to identify the original topic.fork-id
to identify each variant of a topic.
When opening a data-origin-id
link in a classic page, as there can be multiple targets, the Reader page shows a pop-up with a preview of the target content. If there are multiple variants, the pop-up shows a switch to all the possible variants. In a designed page, the Reader page goes directly to the targeted topic.
When opening a fork-id
link, the Reader page goes directly to the targeted topic.
For more information on Fluid Topics identifiers, see Built-in metadata.
It is possible to define a cross-document link by using the Fluid Topics deep link feature.
