In the Prioritize results section of the Search preferences tab, users can perform the following actions:

  • Configure search priorities based on content metadata in the Personal values section.
  • View search priorities configured by an administrator in the Authenticated values section.

Selecting Modify in the Personal values section displays the Modify priorities window with menus listing the available values for each metadata key.

After saving a custom configuration, the selected priorities appear in the Personal values section, as follows:

A section of a user interface titled 'Prioritize results'. There are two highlighted filter tags: 'Category: Release Notes' and 'Product: Fluid Topics'.

To use metadata for search priorities, first add it to the Search page facets section located in the Search tab of the Administration menu's Portal tab.

The search priorities, or priors, do not apply to searches with no keyword.
