Email sending method - Fluid Topics - Latest

The Email sending method section of the Email administration interface allows users to define the method used to send all notification emails, including feedback emails.

PORTAL_ADMIN and ADMIN users can choose whether to:

1. Use the internal mail server.

   When using this option, the From address for the email notifications that Fluid Topics sends to end-users is as follows: no-reply@fluidtopics.net. Choose another method if end-users should not receive emails from this address.

2. Configure SPF and DKIM for the internal mail server.

   This is the best method to allow an external domain to send emails on behalf of Fluid Topics.

3. Use an external mail server with SMTP relay.

   An SMTP relay requires setting a username and password for the SMTP server. Fluid Topics also needs to connect to the SMTP server. For most cases, to allow an external domain to send emails on behalf of Fluid Topics, configure SPF and DKIM for the internal mail server instead.
