In the Default group section of the Access rules administration interface, when setting the default group to Public
or Authenticated
:
- All users or authenticated users can access all documents except the documents for which a rule restricts access to a different group.
When setting the default group to a custom group:
- All members of the group can access all documents including the documents for which a rule restricts access to a different group.
By default, this group is set to Public
.
Setting the default group to anything other than Public
keeps bots from crawling the portal and impacts the SEO strategy implemented for the portal.
Saving the configuration launches a reprocess job.
