When updating content, Fluid Topics uses information it finds in the archive to determine whether the content has already been uploaded.
The ft:originId
of a DITA document is based on the path to the DITA map file and the path to the DITAVAL file. As a result, Fluid Topics replaces a pre-existing DITA document with a new version of the same document if the following conditions are true:
- The path to the DITAVAL file is the same.
- The path to the DITA map file is the same (same folders and same name for the
.ditamap
file).
When updating only part of a document (such as a single DITA file or DITA submap), it is still necessary to upload the entire archive.
