Select a metadata key

In the Search page results tags section of the Results tab, it is possible to select tags to display for each entry in the search results list. Each tag is based on a metadata key.

If the metadata key already exists, the steps are as follows:

  1. Open the Add metadata menu.
  2. Select the key.
  3. Select the "+" button.

The Add metadata menu only contains metadata keys which are not already set for the Search page.

Reorder metadata keys

Drag metadata keys up and down the list, or use the up and down arrows to organize the metadata hierarchy.

In the Search results page, metadata hierarchy goes from left to right.

When it is possible to distinguish a document by the values of at least one multivalued metadata key, the highest key in the list is used as selector.

For more information on clustering, see Cluster search results and Types of clusters.

Create a metadata key

It is possible to create a metadata key as follows:

  1. Select Create new.
  2. In the Add metadata field, enter the name for the new metadata key.
  3. Select Create.

If content for which metadata has been defined is available on a portal, configuring search page results tags is mandatory.

Selecting the cogwheel corresponding to a tag opens a drawer to configure its labels and behavior.
