Selecting the Search in all documents option in the Search bars section of the Search tab displays a new section called Filters. This section lets authorized administrators define which filters are available for the search bar in the header of the Reader page.

By default, the Filters section is pre-populated with all filters configured for the Homepage if the Search improvements toggle was enabled for the portal before October 12, 2022.

It is possible to add another filter as follows:

  1. Open the Add metadata menu.
  2. Select a metadata key.
  3. Select the Add button.

Administrators can select the or create new button to add a new metadata key to the Add metadata menu.

Configure a custom label for a filter

By default, the metadata's label in the interface is its id. Selecting the cogwheel icon opens a drawer with options to configure a custom label for the corresponding metadata key.

Change the order in which filters appear in the portal's interface

Filters appear in the portal's interface in the same order as they are listed in the Filters section of the Search tab. It is possible to modify this order by performing one of the following actions:

  • Select the up or down arrows.
  • Drag and drop a metadata key to a new position modifies the order.
