A source is the first level of content processing when publishing documentation. A source corresponds to a file format (DITA, Markdown, etc.) Users can create several sources corresponding to the same file format to better segment content (for example, Markdown content of individual projects or teams). Sources allow content publishers to send documents to a connector for publication.
