The Accessibility contrasts toggle enhances the contrast levels of colors.

The toggle also makes a Fluid Topics portal comply with level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, which requires a 4.5:1 contrast level.

The toggle is available in the Colors section of the Theme administration interface as follows:

Accessibility contrasts

Fluid Topics measures the contrast between interface elements (text, lines, icons). If it is not sufficient, the application automatically modifies the colors to ensure a contrast level of at least 4.5:1.

For buttons with a transparent background, Fluid Topics is not able to detect insufficient contrast. For example, for a transparent button granting access to menus in the header, Fluid Topics compares the button text color with the transparent background of the button and not with the header background. Consequently, the application will not apply accessibility contrasts.

  • High-contrast mode
