By default, the content pane of the Reader page features an infinite scrolling mechanism that lets users browse the topics contained in a document.

Depending on the portal's configuration, section-by-section navigation may replace infinite scrolling. When navigating by section, the table of contents may appear in either of the following ways.

  1. In standard mode, where the entire table of contents is available in the sidebar as follows:

  2. In split view, with chapters in the sidebar and topics belonging to the current chapter in the content pane as follows:
